Bematech is publicly traded manufacturer and solution provider
of Point-of-Sale hardware and software targeting the needs of
the small to midsized retail and hospitality markets. Bematech’s
headquarters are in Southern Brazil in the city of Curitiba.

History
Bematech was founded in 1990, offering printers for the Brazilian
OEM markets - in particular the banking automation market -
which the company supplied with ATM & Kiosk printing solutions
and receipt & validation printers for cashiers.
From the OEM market, the company began supplying the retail
market with receipt printers and fiscal printers, establishing
itself as the #1 provider of point-of-sale solutions for the
Brazilian market. Over 60% of all Brazilian point-of-sale installations
use a Bematech product (Clarendon Reports).
Starting in 2001 Bematech began its global expansion, targeting
markets such as Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia
- the company currently has subsidiaries in the US, Germany,
Argentina and Taiwan, with distributors that market Bematech's
POS and Kiosk Printer products worldwide.
To date the company has shipped over 750,000 products throughout
the world.
